If you were one of our neighbours on BSJ, you should be disgusted with yourself.

Massive speakers pumping out techno music at nightclub levels all hours of the day. Friday night this went through to 7am sat morning.

It's not fair on other campers.

Further calrification

We did mention it to the group, but to no effect.

Fortunately security were wandering around after a theft on Saturday. After most of the campers within an acre of the group complained they did sort it, and it calmed down a bit.

I really can't understand how these groups can behave like this and not notice the massive disruption that they cause.

This sort of post seems to appear every year. Isn't noise-related antisocial behaviour a known quantity and therefore an accepted risk when going to Le Mans?
It's our 5th year. We know what to expect.

These clowns had brought a full on sound system that would have served very well on a music stage at Wembley. No-one bothered with their own music - it would be drowned out. Same for conversation really.

I'd pick BSJ hands down every time. You can't beat the mix of campsite drifting and endless burnouts.
There are some B*** ends that moan about it, but IMO they should just stop being so cheap.
I like BSJ. I just don't like tts. If you look out and see a dark campsite, and yet are playing music at nightclub levels, I think it's fair to say that you are being a tt.

The Sunday night was the only night the the group behaved - having good clean fun as one does on the Sunday night...

I didn't play any loud music at any time. I also didn't use an air horn at any time. I did play radio Le Mans on my earphones, I hope this didn't disturb you too much.

Most of the day I was at the circuit watching the racing.

You.

You are the problem with Le Mans camping.
I think the problem isn't me, its sales reps like you going to le mans and then complaining about burnouts on pistonheads, like you you've stumbled over from mums.net. No offense.
What's your problem? If you were not playing loud music how could this be aimed at you?

I actually don't mind the cars. It's a petrolhead / enthusiast place so a bit of messing around to be expected. It's the insanely loud music that I don't get.

I get what you mean.
Our first year was in Houx & it was rammed with TVRs.
Could it be that it's just less about the drive down now that it's a boring, heavily enforced cruise down a dull autoroute?
Or am I just a touchy bugger because I sold my nice car?
There were no TVRs there because they'd all broken down on the way there. The long wait at the Chunnel probably cooked at least 60% of them.

I don't see what people's issues are with burnouts. I also don't like the loud music, but I accept its part and parcel of Le Mans. It also doesn't bother me because I'm not retarded, so I wear earplugs and get pissed when I have to sleep.
The burnouts last moments. Music so loud night after night, that you can't hear your mates, let alone turn on Radio Le Mans at the campsite is not on.

You haven't managed to eloquently deride me throughout this thread. You've also shown me no reason to believe that you are in fact a petrolhead and not some guy posing with his wife's car.
Should I perhaps follow your lead and put a photo of my brother's car on my profile, to hide the fact that I'm clearly ashamed of my own girly car?

It seems that you may finally understand that if you book the cheapest campsite at a racing circuit which is renowned for car related antics, then car related antics may ensue.
Indeed. "Buy cheap, buy chav", it appears.
Why don't you take to the boxing ring?
