Tesla Model S to Le Mans

Well, after TVRs, Porsches and camper vans, this year is a new chapter in vehicle type as I'll be taking a Model S. Its come about more by accident as haven't been for a few years and currently don't own anything traditionally sporty. Takes a bit of planning re juicing up, so we are ferrying via Caen (Supercharger) and handily there's also a supercharger in Le Mans.

Is there enough range, especially given traffic in LM when you arrive, to get from ferry to where you're staying or will you need an intermediate stop?
If you allow maximum 200 miles range in between chargers on the smaller battery that I have, then should be no problem (certainly from Caen). I might even get a trickle charge at the pistonheads campsite which is good for about 6 miles range for each hour plugged in. Oh. My. God. How quick?!

Brittany Ferries have offered charge points to electric vehicles during the crossing. The refrigerated lorries use them and often give the spare ones out to the electric cars.

An 8.30 pm ferry from Cherbourg on Sunday evening will unfortunately mean having to leave before the end of the race which is a shame. I guess I'll be listening to Radio Le Mans at the Le Mans supercharger at about 2pm. Internet radio will be my friend on the way up to the Caen supercharger.

Copme on how slow is the ruddy car, race finishes at 3 so that gives you 5 and a half hours to get there, park up near tertre rouge corner, watch the end of the race and then head off you should be at the port soon after 6.
