Definitely most stressful part of Le Mans.

Still waiting. Any early success?

I still have red bar but a countdown appeared at roughly 80%. This is on iPad. 6.5 mins left now.

Started laptop moments afterwards and that is still just red bar no timer.

F@@ked it up.

Couldn’t get as many seats as I wanted but still got parking etc and would then try and solve issues.

Put wrong card details in. Cancelled order and now logged out.

Usually you can get two members seats and then order others but seemed to limit everything to 2 tickets.

Hoping some options left when I log back in.

What a mess. Kicking myself.

Usually the other stands aren’t limited on numbers.

That was tough - seriously tense.... Managed to get 4 x GA and 4 x T17, plus parking and a Mulsanne camping for my friend (who was happy with that). Not a lot left when I came out, all of the decent camping was long gone and very little left in T17. I heard tell that some French friends of mine got in half an hour early.... frown
I assume that was with two memberships?

Got 2 x expo like I wanted. That was important one.

Couldn’t get ACO stand again. Damn.

Went for Sommer. Really limited options but at least have a stand. Seats were disappearing quickly also. 2 x seats bought.

Then on other computer but still under same membership booked another seat in same stand and paid with different card as same one wasn’t being accepted.

Obviously sat in different places but working on fact seats free up quite quickly after peak, so they’ll probably only be some periods of one person separated. Plus, it’s not like you sit there chatting away with the noise anyway.

In the pressure to get things booked (and in case I couldn’t find a work around for 3 x grandstand seats), I have ended up with an extra full week general entry ticket at member price.

Will be available at cost with ‘e ticket’ pdf forwarded on, should anyone want it.

I wanted 2x T17, had to settle for T16. At least its on a row quite near the front. I'll have to try again in 2025. Expo parking was a bit of a last minute choice too, I had hoped for Bleu, but that wasn't even an option.

Nevermind, I've actually GOT tickets, so i should be happy with that. See you all on the other side of the channel chaps!
Expo is great. Particularly if you come in from the south past the airport. Then just a short walk across to the main entrance.

T16 is alright.

Just really handy having the facilities in the ACO stand. However short walk and showing membership card should allow access to toilets on ground floor of ACO stand.

Just email the ACO and they will refund it. I accidentally booked camping in Arnage when I wanted Tertre Rouge (they're both corners, easy mistake to make smile) and have email them for a refund. I had to make changes for this year's 24 and it was no problem.
Ah good point. Will try that as they’ve been good before with similar issues.

Another stressful couple of hours today, but got there in the end after my own mistake, which meant I missed out on ACO stand with having to go back into the system. Could be smoother process and the time limit makes browsing options a rush job.

Parking seemed to hang on with availability a lot longer than last year.

Never camped on track, and I’m pleased I don’t have to add that to the booking nightmare.

Not the stand I wanted, but it will be fine for the time we actually spend there. Went for the extra members area access so the others have better toilet options available a short distance from the stand, instead of just trying to blag it on my membership.

However, I’ve got a stand, got tickets and can park. Accommodation is all sorted, nice house, which works out at £48 per person per night, between the three of us. Short drive to the circuit. Leave booked. Last thing to do is the ferry.

Feeling positive for next years trip!

Right now, I'd say that's very sensible advice.
+1

Take the pressure off and get something now.

Once in a position of knowing you at least have some option, you can then pick something up ‘better’ later down the line, rather than being desperate to get something. High likelihood of being able to resell what you already have.

I didn’t quite get what I wanted through error/limits but I’m happy I have the essentials, and the event will still be great regardless of whether I’m sat somewhere slightly different.

Over the years, I’ve ended up with options that weren’t my first choice. I wasn’t happy at the time, but it actually turned out better than going for the same routine and led to improvements in weekend plans.

Decided a while ago I wanted to go to Le Mans next year. Didn't know about this ACO business so assumed tickets were only available yesterday.

Has anyone booked one of those glamping tent things? It's horribly expensive but you get 4 nights, train over etc.
If money no object then do whatever, your choice.

No right or wrong, just different options for Le Mans etc etc.

However, I struggle to see what value is in the glamping (or other ‘luxury’ Le Mans options). Regardless of whether money was no object.

Long time advocate of off circuit accommodation. Really doesn’t make for a worse weekend staying within 20-30 min range of circuit.

This year I’ve got a lovely newly renovated, self contained 2 bedroom house with swimming pool/gardens and secure parking. Close to shops and numerous restaurants. Secure and doesn’t matter what the weather is doing. Simple drive into circuit. £195 per person (based on 3 staying) for 4 nights.

Only negative is limited drinks at the circuit on Saturday, however after Thursday, Friday and Sunday night, a lighter Saturday isn’t such a bad thing.

Whether it is hotel, Airbnb or campsites I believe there is better value and more enjoyment simply being in France staying off circuit.

But that’s my preference, no right or wrong option.

As an ACO member you get access to the members areas included. You can buy additional guest passes, although I think only a maximum of 2.
It’s linked to your account.
Depends.

You can buy a membership at €73 which does not include the use of the ACO areas.

Then there is the ‘receptive club member’ at an additional €52 bringing the total to €125.

I couldn’t get ACO stand, so I’ve forked out for two extra receptive passes for our group. We are just next to ACO stand, so short walk for nicer toilets etc.

Might also make more use of the enclosure on the inside next to Dunlop.

Pleased I went for the extra receptive passes now. Was going to think about it, but even those are now showing as sold out.
