Hi there,
I am looking for some help picking out a car,
here is what I am looking for smile

-Under £6500, with £500 on the side for detailing and minor repairs upon purchase.
-Trying to avoid hatchbacks
-Around 165+ BHP
-Id like one with 4wd but it is not a necessity (I like the Audi Quattro system), I live on the British Isle, the 4WD (I think) would help with the constant rain and the mountain roads.
-Not concerned about the year of manufacture, as long as it is under 100k Millage and is generally considered reliable (think I should be fine right?)
-Not concerned with if the car is 'luxury' or 'sports' styled. I am happy to drive a sleeper.

And here is what I've looked at:
BMW 3 Series 2L 08'
Subaru Impreza WRX 06-08 Estate
Abarth 500 09-10'

Someone also recommended the E46 M3, but I'm not sure about how molested (in that budget) and how reliable they are.
I was also shown how cheap the old Range rovers are, but I've heard they are not reliable at all and very expensive to fix up; especially the hydraulic suspension system.

Mazda 6 MPS smashes all requirements.
Just looked at that, very impressive if Im honest, but very very rare here in the UK,
can barely find a good example with under 100k millage

Thanks a lot guys,
Im gonna wait to try and find a nice Mazda 6 MPS for a while, if it doesn't show up, ill probably be going for the Subaru Legacy of the Audi A4q

BUT I just stumbled upon the Mazda 3 MPS, they seem to be much more common in the UK (albeit still rare), I am kinda leaning towards either of the Mazda's now so do you guys and gals reckons the Mazda 3 MPS would be a good purchase?

You keep mentioning the UK as if we're foreign, you're aware this is a Uk forum right?!
Haha yup, I know I know! I kinda feel and speak in that way since I live on a little island not part of the mainland :P

as nice as the above are I'd take the 2.5 ST Focus over the MPS but I admit you'd struggle to get one with 31k on the clock for your budget.

No problem I hope it's as good as it looks, have you seen that it's £500 a year to tax?
Bilmey, didn't know that. But if it really is as good as it looks, Im gonna use my detailing fund on that *fingers crossed*

There's a 6 MPS in the PH classifieds that fits the bill (no connection)

3 is a great car, but drops your AWD preference.
Yeah, I found that one, but I prefer the AWD, it gets dangerous in the hills/mountains during rain or snow here since most of them have no railing :/ , RWD especially tend to slip too much for me, so I really prefer the AWD or even FWD

Not sure if you're misunderstanding, there's a 6MPS (awd) in the PH classified.
I misunderstood, thought you were referring to the 6,
oh damn, the Mazda 3 doesn't have the AWD, WELP.

Guess I'm gonna ring up the classified ad you gave me this morning instead, that seems a good one smile Thanks man!
