Paid deposit for an Audi Q7 on PCP - I want to back out

Friday 20th Jan 2017, I paid £1k for a used Audi Q7 which was in stock, agreement was PCP for 48 months. I have only signed the order form. Having the weekend to think about it, I no longer wish to go ahead with it as paying £710pm is no longer affordable. Will cancelling be straight forward? Will I get my deposit back? Will I inccur any penalties?

I'm not sure about you but I earn a fair chunk, most things I just assume I can afford.
But sometimes it's only when you have seriously thought or already begun to engage in financial choices that you then take a more in depth look at your finances and think, errr, hang on.......
Or, perhaps, the OP realised later on in the day, that £700 a month for a used Audi was a rip off! And that while caught up in the excitement of buying a new car that he failed to take full accounts of his finances.
Or, something came up over the weekend, maybe partner had work issues, or he did, or found she was pregnant, or any number of reasons, why, suddenly, you don't have £700 a month to spend anymore.
I think we are all guilty at some point of making a rash decision or not fully thinking through something. Doesn't mean you can be a

Before paying the deposit, I did advise the sales guy that I need to go away and think about it, he continued to make various offers and then his manager also joined in. They used good sales tactics and roped me in. At the point of paying I did think £700 would be managable, but on the weekend doing my sums at home I realised it was a rip off to pay £5000 initial payment and then £708pm x 48. That would have been a total of £38,984. Then after 4 years to keep the car I would have to pay a balloon payment of around £23k. Thats just under £62k for a used Q7 thats on the forecourt for £48k. I would suggest also writing an E-mail to the salesman if you have their E-mail address, just confirming this.
Then if not heard back by say, 3pm, call them again.
Sorry forgot to add, straight after the phone call I sent an email directly to the salesman.
