Nothing exciting here but looking around for suggestions as the Clubman is going to be sold as I always feel like something is going to break on it and the MPG is 25.1 which is awful for what it is.

Criteria is 5 doors, good MPG, good boot for a dog/pram and reliable and less than £5500

So far I've got it down to 3.
Honda Insight
BMW 320d touring
or a curve ball of a Nissan Leaf

Any suggestions shoot.

Boot on the Leaf is not that big.

Definitely not enough room for dog and pram.
Also would you buy one or lease?
£5500 won't be enough to buy one.

What mileage will the car do?
Is it your main car?
Is it a big dog? :-)
You can get a leaf for around that price so I wouldn't lease. It's a second car - would be used daily though but not many miles and the dog is a Lab.
Also would probably stick pram in spare passenger seat rather than in boot with dog due to hairs.

I can only find 3 under £6,500 on Atrader and one of those you have to lease battery for £70p/m.

Are you looking somewhere else?

You'll struggle to fit a Lab in the boot TBH.
There's very little distance between the back seats and the back window.
Maybe sold. 2 last week under my budget but guess they would sell quickly.

But if boot space is small I shall rule it off.

I had a mark 3 (07 plate) Seat Toledo and loved it. Quirky looks, but definitely the best looking of the Toledo’s. Plenty of space, within your budget and huge boot. I had the ‘Sport Special Edition’ and it looked pretty good in my view.

Good luck.
Not sure I have it in my to drive an MPV even though the Seat and Avantime are secret cars I like.

I'd say an Insignia fits the bill (I know they're not very PH) with your budget in mind they're very good value & a decent family car.

Vauxhall isn't bad you know.

Saab's a bit thirsty as handsome as they are.
