Just to let you know all that I have just changed my fuel lines and filter and had a leak between the filter and pump, though with the panels all off if you still have a fuel smell put your head right up in the corner of the bulkhead and hey prestostrong smell, could be a leaking tank. I have just found this on my car. Breather is out and blanked off so no other escapee route for fuel, cap is perfect too and doesn't smell. Just a word of warning really. I hope this isn't too difficult to remove?!
Cheers guys, strange thing is the smell is wafting around earlier I could smell it by the N/S rear wheel! Ihave sprayed all areas with oust and will let it disperse as I'm wondering if the vapour is still present and getting trapped in areas since changing the fuel filter and link hose as this was the origin of the smell, though I cleaned the area well the fumes could still be present? At least the engine doesn't have to come out!
Update: Changed the outlet fuel hose to a bio fuel grade, plus the link hose between the pump and the filter. Still a very slight smell, which I think/hope is coming from the breather fuel filler area only. Maybe the inlet large hose emits very slightly, as it's standard rubber hose. I'll see how it goes.
