Are any of you big power boys running anything different from the injectors that yellowshed recommended. I'm wondering if there are any gains to be had from changing to something bigger?

Yes mate , I'm running Asnu 750lb injectors .
Much better spray pattern and a lower duty cycle on full boost .

Cheers for pointing that out sundance thumbup
But I am changing a few things in one go.so will definitely be needing a re- map. I'm desperate to break the 700 mark this year.

+1 I use the same ones too,
Simon didn't you have to re map the car?

Hi Steve in my opinion the pro alloy intercooler struggles with over 700 !!!
My last race engine made 678 at the wheels (hub dunno) with a new intercooler , it made 660 at the flywheel before . Only upgrades where injectors and intercooler !!!
Yeah Simon funnily enough the pro alloy is one of the things going along with Exhaust, coils ,Injectors, Inlet plenum and a few other bits.
Steve.

I already have the coils ready to fit. They are proven on the noble and a massive step forward for the ignition side of things. exhaust is 3 inch from Turbo's back. With a quiet track mode and loud road mode on a button. i'm aware of the difficulties with the inlet Plenum but worst case scenario I can swap it back(a few quid wasted, but if you don't try these things you don't know). Im dubious about comparing BHP because 750 on some ones dyno could be 650 on another Dyno. and none of us with 600BHP and over use the same Dyno anymore. I am looking to get 700, but with the lowest amount of boost possible. And when its all done I will take it back to where it all started for most of us to get the BHP measured for my own comparison.
Will changing the ecu on your car make a difference to the power then Simon?
I thought you changed your ecu already from the standard? or is this another step up?

Be cautious with coils , we have tried a few with no success . I also got H&S to build me a 2-3/4 dia exhaust system which I'm sure helps a bit , I'm nervous of changing the inlet plenum , GTO 600 has seen 750 bhp on std inlet plenum and James at Radical has done a lot of work on Turbo cars and reckons the std setup is pretty good . Throttle bodies are a nice idea but massively difficult to setup . .
My next Dyno trip is with a new Syvec ecu , it will be interesting too see what sort of power she will make !!!

Yeah I'm sure that your car is safe with Radical!
The Guy that tuned my car could only push it so far as I had a boost related miss fire that was limiting my power.

Hi Andy, any particular reason why you went for Injector Dynamics? something that made you think they were the ones?
Cheers
Steve

To answer the original question, I went for injector dynamics over asnu and they were similar money to what tuxman paid.

2. The bloke on the ASNU stand at Autosport a few years back was less than helpful and quite deliberately put me off buying from them,
What a strange sales tactic rolleyes

Just wondering whilst no one has mentioned water injection?
It Helps reduce petrol temp, which gives gives better detonation. And improves power.
All controlled by the ecu
Hi Sundance, I have got water Meth injection already on mine but only as a safety feature. Its not mapped with it to get more power as I would be fooked if it runs out.
Have you mapped yours for more power using the water meth? if so - did it make much difference?

ok, mine is a stand alone unit. unfortunately my ecu is max'd out otherwise id have a separate map for it ,that's a good idea. It would be interesting to see the difference in power with and without on your car.
sundance002 said:
Its being done at the moment, the ecu switches it on and off, and if it did run out, then the ecu, switches to another map Thats pre set to run without the meth.. I have a knob in the Nob, that allows me to switch between 8 pre set maps. So it wasn't to much work. To set up.
I'm re freshing the engine at the moment, I've run over 600ftlb torque & over 700bhp for 4 years now and the engine has not missed a beat. she uses 1.5 bar boost to get there. Fair play to Skippy atBespoke, and Bourne racing wink
