M600 Driving Day
Discussion
Yes him and Mr Hill junior (who despite his big feet is pretty good at peddaling too).
Brunters and on road, seven of us.
Seeing c. 175 on the short straight and that was with me braking way too early.
Brakes have very little movement / servo assistance and so require a good shove. Once you're used to it it's amazingly effective but it did take me some time to get used to.
I didn't do the long straight but I'm told it pulls from 40 - 200 mph and slows down for the corner ALL IN 6th GEAR!
Road handling was astonishing even on the poor surfaces around Bruntingthorpe though of course none of us found out what it was like in excess of the NSL.
One really good spinner (again not me) a tripple 360 at 120 mph was pretty exciting to watch but even then the car kept off the grass.
Great bunch of people and the two VC10's doing a couple of low passes before landing for the last time was an added bonus.
Phil/Helen any chance you could PM me some pictures?
Cheers
