Majorly interested in these things at the moment and wouldnt mind building one. Who, if anyone, in the uk manufactures kits or frames? Most seem to be based on the vw beetle, how easy/hard would it be to use other donor cars?
Ive been looking at the UVA Fugitives (although no longer available) and love the look without the panels fitted, completely bare. What sort of performance figures can be expected from one thats based on an old beetle? I just cant help imagining it being very under powered.
