but why? and what happens once it's finished?
To get it into the shed in the back garden I turned the chassis on the side and pushed it down the path. I tend to measure once and cut twice so forgot about the electricity box stuck out an inch.

(Are you still with me?)

Therefore, I had to shave an inch off the concrete fence posts my side of the fence. Unfortunately this did not go down well with my neighbour.

(Nearly there hang on in.)

So in order to get the car out without upsetting my neighbour further, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, apparentlyeek

All went very well only one casualty who received a broken paw wink

Regards

Nick

Haha love it, are those 17" wheels?
Hi Paul,

Yes they are well spotted, the kit came to me third hand although had not really been started. The first owner had speced brake discs so large it was not possible to fit 15 inch wheels frown

Nick

P.S. Your build is really impressive, I have modelled mine on an original 1960's GT40, huge panel gaps, held together with gaffa tape, holes drilled in the wrong place. Took me hours to get the authentic look, had nothing to do with my lack of skills wink

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the kind words, hoping to get the car IVA’d first half of 2015, have the shed now to do bits and pieces in. I don’t like looking at your build thread (although I do wink ) as it demotivates me. Don’t wish to appear a sycophant but I wish I could start again and follow what you have done in your build especially where you have put your fuse box!!!!! Although I don’t think my loom would have stretched that far.

Regards

Nick
