So, a random eBay bid that I had no real hope of winning, turns out I have won!!

The car is a black 2015 Raw Striker. The chap is happy for me to get it taken to Raws factory so they can give it a look over. The car was apparently purchased by a film company, with the aim to sending it over to Nigeria, which then bankrupt and the chap selling it bought it from the administration firm via an auction.

Raw built the car last year, and its covered no mileage since build. The car isn't registered, and thus needs an IVA. According to the seller, Raw have quoted about 1k to get it up to IVA spec (needs lights etc), and get it through the IVA.

Does anything on here ring any alarm bells for anyone? It almost seems too good to be true. Of course the unregistered bit is concerning, but the seller has the original invoice so it can't be that much of an issue? And I only paid 5k for it!

Apparently Raw know the car, and thus ill be speaking to them once the New Year bank holiday is out the way.

To say im excited is an understatement!!

Guys,

Whoever found the eBay add, good detective work. That is indeed the car. I need to speak to RAW tomorrow, and see what they suggest with regards to getting the car IVA'able. The car is currently up the road from Raw's factory, and they do a "Get it ready for the IVA, and put it through the IVA for you" service, so i'll get them to do that.

The engine with carbs is the biggest hurdle yet to overcome, so I need to discuss with them the different options when they are open after the bank holiday. Speaking to the seller the seem to think the engine isn't a problem, and its easy/simple enough to get it through the IVA.

Intresting what Justin says about the engine though. So if you claim you do not the age of the engine, then it will just be Q plated? I'm sure I read elsewhere, that if age is unknown at the time of the IVA, then they will test it to modern standards?
