3000S Windscreen frame removal

Hi everyone! Has anyone got any experience with removing the windscreen frame from the body of a 3000S? I am assuming that the bolts pictured below are connected to the windscreen frame and secure it to the body.
However, having removed the rusted up wing nuts (15 below) and given the end of the bolts a hefty tap with a lump hammer nothing is moving.
The tube holding the bolt is bonded into the tub so I'm assuming that the bolt should simply slide out of the tube - but it doesn't. Am I missing something? Is anything else fixing the window frame to the body? I've already undone the 2 nuts towards the middle holding it to the dash cover (item 12 below) and can't see anything else likely to be holding it down.
Any suggestions gratefully received!

Judging by the state of the rest of the frame I can believe that.
On first thought with a 3/8 UNF bolt in a 7/8 tube I thought there was plenty of clearance. However, looking from the "head in the footwell" perspective, there appears to be either a washer or spacer further up the tube in which the bolt is a tight fit - so rust here could be what's holding it. Anybody shed any light on what's inside the tube? I'm reluctant to give it some welly without knowing what I'm up against.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to replace the tubes - I can see that would be "tricky".
I haven't sourced any replacement bits yet since I'm not sure what I'll need. The outside chrome bits are OK (will need re-plating) but some inner bit are rusted and until I get it all disassembled I won't be sure what will be recoverable or not.

Hi Adrian, I am trying to dismantle the screen to see what needs repairing/replacing. The glass is intact and the chrome metal bits are sound but need re-plating. The lower neoprene seal looks in bad shape and the other sealing material was brittle and coming away. Removing the front chrome strip showed a lot of rust on the non-chromed parts of the frame. I had assumed that undoing the 2 wing nuts and the other 2 central bolts that the frame would come off the body and could then be assessed to see what needed replacing.
It looks like that is going to be difficult but probably no alternative?
