My dad has had this car 31 years now sadly it hasn't been used for at least 10 years. But is in good order new engine, great chassis etc. it will be back on the road in the next year or so. We havnt been around old tvrs much for at least a decade just wondering how many early 3000ms were made are they rare? I can only recall seeing 2 others with cortina mk2 back lights.

Thanks, it's in great shape for its age, he carried out a full restoration before it was laid up, it's been replaced by a 4.3 Bv griffith. If he does ever part with it iv told him I want it!
I'm sure I seen the 1600m years ago at Blackpool back home in the 90's.
Il post some more pictures later on

Some great cars on this thread keep the pics coming!
We used to know of a later brown metallic 3000m that was bought over from Germany.

Yeah it's been dry stored all the time it's been off the road, plus every year it was on the road, although used in all weathers, was my mother daily drive for years, me and my sister used to go to school in it, my dad would clean down and paint the chassis with decent rust protective paint. Including body off approx 20 years ago so it's survived in very good condition, does need a repaint tho.
Some nice cars appearing on this thread great to see these pictures

That sounds a good book will have to pick up a copy. They do seem to be rare the 1600m's, there used to be a yellow one local to us many years ago with the tr6 back lights.
