"automatic" vomit. Don't want it any more.
Yes Niels Automatic changing gears is a little complicated for some
If I was to make any changes the exhaust would have to go the gear box go back to 5 speed the dash go maybe even do an SE dash and seats that would work as the car is never going to be original and change things to at least period items IMOP and of course wire wheels or period wheels and tyres and tone done the hot rod look of the engine bay a bit and I guess if those things there done then she woul be a reasonably nice car but I don't think the byer would do that.
As we have seen already there is a bum for every seat and someone will love it just the way it is and good luck to him or her.

looks like the Vixen with what our Belgian expert wink thinks has an S series bonnet sold in 2012 for $18500 not a lot for all the things done regardless of what you think of the end result sounds like the original seller saw the light and bought a Griffith 400 just hope he did not destroy that one

Too bad about the auto box, . . . and the hideous wheels, . . . and the fact that they bolted the heaviest engine in it that they could find, . . . and the front wing treatment, . . . and all the ways the interior could have been done a little better, . . .

If I bolt those lights into a Cortina, can I call it a Griffith replica?

Best,
B.
Bernard whatever you call it does not matter its what others might call it would be interesting but whatere my cars get called i just call them MINE hence why i would not want that one

All come down the the reserve??
lot of work in that car though and a lot of expensive parts.
N.
Yes just a shame the money was not spent in a slightly different way and i think there would be a wider market for the car

Not much hope for it, as most want a ford unit. Add on all of the other bits to make it bearable and you will have a small fortune in that one!
Best,
D.
Agree at least its a lesson to others when you take a restoration in this direction the money spent is like flushing it down the drain.
That car rebuilt to that standard at least keeping period features would have made 25k plus over there when you think that one of the best Vixen OE restorations sold for over 20k 10 years ago.
I am not tying to have a dig at anyone but the reality is there to see.

I see they have added a buy it now price which i think has to be 10% above the reserve price so if anyone really loves it that much they could have it here in Europe with shipping and 5% duty for about £16000 if you really wanted the spec you could not build it for that
