As he is in Canada he should know it would be a 5000m unless the rules have suddenly changed maybe if I get an AC Ace and fit a 289 it will be an AC Cobra?

Ha. Absolutely no relative.

Unfortunately as it will require more than a tin of T-Cut I'm out!
Fast cut plus and your away there and a tin of WD40 hehe
In fairness with your budget there will be some nice cars to choose from a nice Taimar or 3000m would be fantastic based on what you had before

the tow bar frame and hitch is 10 times stronger than the actual chassis that its attached to and almost runs half the cars length underneath.. I think it was used to tow a race car trailer way back when. It does look as if the car has not seen the road for over 30 years and is POSSIBLY a one owner car.... and it does have a perfectly legible chassis number and tag, which is good news too.
Sounds like you will have your hands full what are you plans an OCD restoration or a Modified creation.

The fun is not only in the driving.
Starting from scratch (or even less) can be the fun. At least for me and for Hedgefinder I expect.
In the end you know what you get (and perhaps what it costs if you have not lost the bills).

But as said in many other topics; Its everybody's own tasted and wallet.

No hard feelings against the approach of Andrew. Even if his calculation is right.

Hans
Hans i am unsure if what i said has been lost in translation what i was say was that for much less than the cost of doing that car even to a basic level that other car looks cheap however whatever he does with the car hats of to the Hedge as he chooses not to have a name.
If he decides that restoring to OE and better then fantastic been there done that and due to doing it for someone else i had to look at the bills and the cost far outweighs the end value result however you get a car that is unique to you and save another car that would have been scrapped for cash.
In ways i hope he has paid more than the sum of the parts stripped not that there is that much apart from screens bonnet shell and windows but he who knows not seen the car but as he chose to come on and say he was the buyer he should expect comments and speculation otherwise dont post.
All i know for sure is its above £1500 and when i look at the taimar at £1900 I started with it was a bargain
