Long shot probably, but i would like an early(ier) tvr than i currently have, ie cerb and on-going taimar project which is actaully my wifes.....
Tuscan v6 would be an ideal stablemate , anything out there that is potentially coming up for sale ??

Cheers sandy

Jeez, i think i have missed the boat guys, i turned down a sound v6 Tuscan for £5K 5 years ago because of my fairly recent, at the time, purchase of the Taimar. Same story i suppose as me selling my Healey 100M for divorce money 14 years ago...

Cheers Sandy

Buy a Tuscan V6? I think you'll have more of a chance finding a V8, there are probably more of them around if you include conversations.
Really? , ok i would also have a V8 Tuscan then, but NOT a conversion...biggrinbiggrin

It'll cost you at least twice as much.
Ok, as i have already admitted i have probably missed the boat with regard to a normal "working man" now being able to purchase a Tuscan in any shape or form..

The car came out of the blue, just had a look on car and classic this afternoon, and David Geralds had quite literally that minute listed the car. Its not perfect by any stretch, and has some minor mods etc, but i liked it instantly and the price i thought from a Dealer was very fair indeed. (read---bought unseen and on pure instinct only....fate even..) wink Hope none of you shoot me down with any horror stories of this car !biggrin

It belonged to a guy called Jeff (his surname escapes me at present) in Halifax for many years, he sold it when he moved to the West Indies to open a bar. I bought a set of Wolfies from him, it would be about 2005/6. Was a real TVR enthusiast back in the 1980s, he also had PWC600 which is now a racer. I don't think he put the front spoiler or rear lip on it, they have been it on for ages. I last sa it at the Pre 80s meeting at Ruddington Park in 2008.

Oliver.
Interesting stuff Oliver, i thought someone would recognise it !. And ties in somewhat with what David Geralds told me.

Sandy.

almost the same as this one :-)

or is it the same but with other plates?
That has got to be the same car my friend, so what year was this advert from?? Given Olivers input i guess it is a previous owner "Jeff" he refers to ?

When I look under details from the 5 or so pictures I have from that car, the oldest date is 15-10-2007 so I guess the advert is from about that time?
That would be about right. The last owner has owned the car for 7 years. Can you post up any other pictures please?

Sandy

I know a little about DWY, if you've any questions just ask. Jeff claimed the engine was rebuilt with big valves and fast road cam just before he sold it. It certainly sounds good. I have a couple of plcs when it had a vinyl roof, I'll post them when I get time. The carb is a 40 DFI.
Any info much appreciated. I tried to email you but the link isnt working just now.

Not yet Andrew, i took the liberty of getting David Geralds to do a few things to the car first.
