Has anyone obtained a FIA Historic Technical Passport for a 3000m. Trying to find out any difficulties on them approving the car?

So this is interesting the . So basically what we are saying is that the UK is not international?

Just googled the M for prodsports and there are old articles with pictures of M's racing... I wonder if they were raced elsewhere?

From reading lot of blurb....it would appear that the Fia have lifted the year restriction to 1980 now for HTP. However I would ove to know anyone has any information of the M's participating in an event in the period with other FIA cars.

I feel quite strong that we should try to get our cars recognised with FIA so we can do international events with them.

Please post links articles or info you have that might help the group gain some creditability with the FIA and also it will add value to our cars too.

Monsoon... Any photos will be appreciated along with any news clippings of M's racing. My aim is to complete the historic Monte Carlo rally.

Just have to say it a matter of convincing the FIA that the tVR brand deserves more recognition I historic racing events. Excluding such cars is a shame.... After all I belive in exceptions to the rule and sometimes that works. If I can prove that TVRs have raced then that half of the battle. Understand everyone's points about the negatives. But as community it's better as a group the just n individual... I'm sure this thread will get lots of deserved attention.... All I can say where there is a will there will be a way.

Thanks for all the information so far. I'm building a file and then the plan will be to arrange a little meeting with the FIA....have a few contacts that think I might have to use to get that meeting.

So basically for what I can gather for this is that we have historic car that have raced in British races and its a little vague on the FIA international side of things. However the concrete evidence that the M's have raced with other FIA cars....so maybe there is an angle on this,

In the new year I will be challenging the FIA on this and does anyone want to form a group to support trying to get our cars FIA approved.

Basically your only allowed to do regularity and not in competition class. Working in progress on the rest...as I am working my way through the rift of rules and requirements of our glorious FIA

It depends on what you want to race for me...being based in Mallorca with some lovely roads I can race every month on closed roads, however if I want to do international events like the Monte Carlo historic rally in January then this one is FIA and the need for papers is key. I can't think of anything more beautiful to take the car through the roads of Europe and end up in Monaco ..... Just has to be done..... Knowing that the TVR is going to be probably the only one and driving my other TVR's and people curious about what it is for me is a big privilege.... we all have our desires and purposes for such cars...mine is to let the world know about these cars and the good old English history behind them
