2.29 when I was matching the Elan I'll have you know wink ….I checked David Holroyds times and he is generally around the 2.21 mark so I am reckoning that track condition dependant I am not too far away from that 2.24 we discussed!! I think mentally I was still on Dunlop's.
What was surprising were the numbers who wouldn't venture out in the rain. The coffins on wet tyres are scary fast though. David came over to see why he struggled to get bye me and then how I managed to keep with him…Mind you he was on Dunlop's!!
Not bad for a fat lad. In a heavy car…

She certainly lifts up her petticoat down the long straight.. I was getting to about 140mph before braking going on revs and gearing!

Need some better pads, Probably Tenorlady rather than 1166's biggrin

I won't ask about your mass, but where does the car weigh in?

Best regards,
Bernard.
Never weighed it Bernard but I would guess at 1000kg or thereabouts.

That's with cast-iron cylinder heads, and a cast-iron differential case, is it not?

Best regards,
Bernard.
Yes.
But Magnesium gearbox main case and ally bell housing.

Sounds quite heavy?

965 standard, no interior, alloy and mag box savings, plastic sides and rear screen, loss of Salisbury diff?

Maybe 1000 with driver?

i'll get it on the weigh bridge one of these days. Quite a lot of long threads, an older repaired fibreglass shell etc etc.
It'll be somewhere between 950 and 1000 I would think.
I must start the weightless programme wink
