well my 3000S is running great but with the Hood up it gets very hot in the cabin.
Has anyone had good results stopping heat to enter the cabin or maybe used Exhaust wrap.
I have been thinking of using some insulating material with one side aluminiumised. Are the insulating panels best fitted to chassis with no contact to fibreglass body

thanks Adrian,
will do. I have not checked timing with strobe yet or even looked at the colour of plugs since i bought the car last year. To busy driving it but with the Hood up it's warm in the cabin.

just to update everything on the engine is correct.
It's only to know what is the best insulation between the engine bay and the cabin to make the car more comfortable for the driver and passenger.
At the moment there is little heat insulation for passenger comfort and with modern materials i think it is possible to improve the situation

thanks Andrew,
i'll have a look at the Fat Mat product. A friend of mine is finding the cabin in his Austin Healey 3000 very warm also. Nice in the winter but in the summer phew;)

thanks Flatdash, that looks like a good address with very nice products.
Andrew, you're right drive it open top and no sidescreens.
I must say your 3000S looks very nice nice in red, wow. My Silver 3000S is having a lot of success in France. Someone stopped behind me at the traffic lights and got out their car to come and ask me what my car is because it looked soo good. The French TVR Club President keeps asking me if i want to sell mine to him.
