here's my car

It's the original Vinyl and Weathershield which i like and it makes the 3000M different.
Now the sliding/folding part has a very small split each side so needs replacing for sure.
The rest is solid but has been painted in the past.
For sure 100% i will keep a vinyl roof on the car.
The big question is:
1. remove and glue a complet new roof (the best option of course) which seems a big job but a nice project.
2. replace just the centre sliding/folding part and paint the rest.
I think the 3000M needs to keep a Vinyl roof which is it's identity and it has worn for 40 Years.
Open to ideas
Alan

hi Chris,
many thanks for the info.
Is the roof on your car also oatmeal like my car.
Could you please send contact details of your supplier <alan.barker@orange.fr>
I think i have found the supplier:
SEGAL AUTO TRIM SALFORD
TRIMCAR HOUSE
29 BLACKFRIARS ROAD
SALFORD M3 7AQ
I think maybe the reference is "A809 OATMEAL JAGUAR VINYL"
I will see when the sample arrives.
Was the sliding part already made and different supplier?
I know the only way is to replace the Sunroof + Vinyl.
I just need to convince swmbo. Maybe i can give her a nice Christmas presentxmas

thanks Chris,
i know my 3000M would look super with a new vinyl roof.
The seals on the back window and windscreen need replacing also.
I know a specialist (sellerie) near me who fitted a new headlining from a bare shell in a 1600M for me.
Do you remember what glue you used please
cheers
Alan

I have recieved 2 different samples from Segal. One is Jaguar Oatmeal Vinyl which is the sample i ordered and also they sent TVR Fawn Vinyl that they suggest.
I am surprised it is very supple and i imagine it will follow the contours better.
The Vinyl on my 3000M has been painted before and i need to find an unpainted part to check the colour.
I will try to look under the alloy frame around the Weathershield.

Hi Chris,
i wondered if you can answer another question please.
I have samples of Vinyl from Segal and also Woolies.
The Segal Vinyl Fawn TVR seems very stretchy and is not rubberised on the back to be strong for the sliding/folding part.
The sample from Woolies Cream ref:24-C is not stretchy and has a more resistant backing for the sliding/folding part.
Do you remember the reference for the Vinyl you used from Segal please.
Thanks for your trouble.
My E-mail is <alan.barker AT orange.fr>
