Since then it has been restored and repainted at that time in the original colour with the new turbo band over lacquered, truely stunning (the last I heard was it was up for sale by Chris who owned it on the IOM, I cannot find a full shot of the car and as I am not sure of the current owner and would prefer to speak to Chris first).
Adrian@
hello adrian yes it would be nice to see a current photo of her. I've got loads of photos archived away.

The green S turbo has been for sale for some time now, at least last autumn. I don't know which dealer rebuilt it, but I'll bet the rebuild cost more than £13,000.
Did you use the turbo daily? The wheels look gorgeous and must have taken some keeping on top of.

Oliver.
Yes Oliver we used it most days, everyday the car was hand washed and dried off wheels were polished with autosol alloy polish, there was no lacquer on them at all the whole car was mint. Also only looked after by the factory.Just dug out the old invoice I took delivery of the turbo on the 13/7/1982 [not 1980 as I thought time dulls the memory]eng/no-DG203-59/CHASSIS no4338FM-SPEEDOMETER READING-17'000 miles. It was first reg 30/9/78.cost to me £7850+£44 6 month road tax.Purveyors Peter Smiths Hatton.

Adrian@ has sent me loads of pictures of the car during its 2001 total rebuild. Looks like a stunning & thorough job , I am well impressed.these pics would be enough for me to recommend him to anyone who may want work doing.
Many thanks to Adrian & all others who have helped in tracking it down ... it has made me want to see her again even more. Brilliant !!
