3lt essex v6 in need of a rebiuld or replace with may be something else for similar cost

zetec sounds good but how compatable will it be with the old 4 speed and overdrive

wow! what a responce, what would u do? was but a simple question to a dilemma i find my self in ,it's great to see so many views and opinions but ultimately i guess it down to personal preference and for sure cost. So having read all thats been written i think that the old tractor engine will be in for a treat quite soon,
