Let me introduce myself since I’m new to PH, my name is Rick and I live in Upstate NY. I want a toy and I am leaning heavily to the TVR Wedge. I see 280i’s for sale in the states but I don’t see any of the big brothers like the 350-450’s. Did they make the V8’s in left hand drive?
Thanks
Thanks
Check this out, http://www.britishv8.org/other/walterchippendale.h... It is Canada but close enough.

I never tried a RHD although I spent some time on several occasions in the UK and road around in them. I was offered the opportunity to try once but refused out of fear. That's fear of the narrow county roads and of turning right or left into the wrong lane.

What car in Canada? Is it the one for that didn't sell on auction? If it is, its a little rich for my blood. I don't have UK kind of money. I would buy a project though.

What is that? Is that a custom 280i? I've read that they made the frames for the V8 Wedges wider to handle the engine and this made it handle significantly better. In the case of a 280 with a V8 squeezed in it I wonder how it would handle.

No price on that 450SE, care to guess?

Thanks for the info but I need a LH drive car. When I was in the UK I was always trying to get in the right side of the car whenever I went anywhere with my buddy. He kept asking me if I wanted to drive.
Mr WST
I do think I would like a V8, the car will be a toy so I'm not to concerned about the gas. I'm more concerned with "G's"
I hate to say it guys but I've been thinking about a TR8. It would certainly make find parts easier and there are more of them available in the US. Any opinions or suggestions?

Gentlemen, and Ladies (if your there),
I wanted to get back to you with an update. After looking at several TVR’s and not being able to find a V8 except for right had drive, I moved to another car, I just bought a 2002 Jaguar XK8. It’s a one owner, 48,000 mile beauty and I can’t wait to put it on the road. Unfortunately, as I live in Upstate NY, it won’t be on the road until May.
Thanks for all your help and I guess I will spending time in the Jaguar section.
Rick
