Audi wins Sebring, dramas for Axis Porsche

1-2 for Audi at the last LMP1 race at Sebring while AxisOfOversteer Porsche experiences triumph and tragedy

2013 is the last year LMP1 cars will run at Sebring so Audi will take bittersweet pleasure in its 11th - and last for now - win in the famous 12-hour endurance race. Last win for Audi but a first Sebring victory for Brit Oliver Jarvis, sharing the 2012 R18 E-Tron with Marcus Fassler and Benoit Treluyer and pipping the 2013 McNish/Kristensen/Di Grassi Audi by just 7.6 seconds.

Corvette took the GT class win, ahead of the Risi Ferrari 458 GT and with an impressive third place for the Falken Porsche GT3 RSR ahead of assorted BMWs, Astons and Vipers.

But how about our friends in the Axis Of Oversteer GT3 Cup Porsche in GTC? Well, we'll be hearing the inside story tomorrow so no spoilers for now except to say they were among the seven cars in class to take turns in the lead of GTC, a coming together with the GT-winning Corvette in the hands of Oliver Gavin just one of the dramas over the 12 hours of this gruelling race. If you can't wait you can read the full story on AxisOfOversteer but we'll be hearing more about Sebring from the privateer's perspective tomorrow.

Hate to be a pedant (honestly), but he's called Marcel Fassler.

Sorry Dan, but the chaps won Sebring, I think he deserves to have his name reported right.
