Thanks guys!! I didnt think it one of my best starts either, more wheel spin initially than usual lol... Everything just fell into place! Got tank out tonight, see if it can be repaired tomorrow.... Exhaust system needs renewing but home made so easy enough! Its actually tore both engine mount rubbers!! Makes you realise the forces involved (brand new tvr items for Rockingham!!). Motor will be coming out this week to check it over!

Think Ive found a rear end thats reasonable money, speaking to the chap tomorrow and hopefully roadtrip very soon!!

Fingers crossed we can be back and kick arse at Anglesey!☺

Well back from road trip! Many thanks to AussieJohn on here, sorted us out with a new (slightly damaged but easily fixed) rear end and a new fuel tank! Ours is worse than I thought!

Hopefully have the car looking whole again by early next week!! Motor coming out tomorrow night (its tore the engine mounts!!) So check that and box. Hoping to have all the bits back and going back together end of next week!! Then just make a new exhaust system up, renew nuts/bolts in rear suspension (just in case!!!), source some lights and a full spanner check!! Bar nothing major going wrong we should be out at Anglesey!!

Thanks Tim. Think ive got some sorted!! A mate uses vauxsausage (yes really!!) On faceache and has found some hopefully!!

Tank with engineer getting narrowed now, motor coming out tonight! Engineer gonna fit new cam bearings (I think middle two are in wrong and adding to oil pressurr woes...) and couple of other bits! Hoping to have it all back end next week to put it all back together!

I've just watched the video again and it's still an amazing start smile

And spinning as you were it would have been a miracle if you'd come off the brakes to avoid the barrier.

Hope the damage is just grp. Did the fuel tank remain intact?
Hi Andy,

Just watched the impact again, and looking at the brake pressure gauges (two big ones centre of dash), I'm not on the brakes at impact. I hit them briefly and the let go... Think it was just one of those accidents where car was on the path twards the barrier and that was that... Never mind!

Got all the engine bits back now so can get that built back up! Pete should get the car back for paint Tuesday so I should get it back end of next week. Need to order a new silencer and exhaust tubing, fuel pump, rear lights (ebay) and think thats it... Fuel tank should be modded for me by mid next week. Still hopeful it will all come together in time for Anglesey!!
