Oulton Park Gold Cup - Aug Bank Hol - Anyone going?

I am going to be making my annual trip over to Oulton Park for the Gold Cup on August bank holiday weekend. Wondering if there are any other PH'ers going along?

I will be there with a few friends for the weekend. By all means say hello, have a beer with us and a chat. We will be camping with a silver e46 325ci, white clio 197 cup and a red accord type r.

Great stuff, will keep an eye out. which class are you due to be racing in? I imagine its fairly unrestricted on the noise limits as some of the older single seaters are ear shatteringly loud! but who knows, fingers crossed.

If the weather is like last year I will be very happy. Good atmosphere around the campsite too which is always enjoyable.

Another potentially leaky addition will be joining our small campsite in the shape of a black 1979 MG Midget (will be wearing its PH smiley with pride). Younger brother picked it up from Kings Lynn yesterday and enjoyed a 50mph drive all the way back to Teesside! Cheap open top motoring and hopefully it stays dry.

Hopefully the forecast will change for Monday, looking a bit wet according to BBC (other weather forecasters are available). makes for some exciting racing, hopefully no incidents.

True, I was at the British GT Championship last year and it was -4 degrees and snow on the ground outside the circuit. Not very pleasant in a tent! this year was decent but was a bit muddy in places, the outfield next to the pit straight looked awful, saw a few cars getting pulled out from there by the circuit defenders.
