You'd have to be very brave or have some serious inside knowledge to bet against Turkington now.

In 2009 coming in to the Brands GP closing meeting, it was relatively tight. This year he just needs to finish in the points really.

Looking forward to it still, the GP circuit looks excellent and usually gives better races than the Indy circuit (less nudging wide through Clearways)

Rob Collard expected to be back out. Car is 70% rebuilt according to the BTCC Crazy article. Fantastic effort!

While it would be good, having to effectively pay for the car himself I'd be surprised if Collard decided to have the car rebuilt for one round and then face the cost of another strip down and rebuild again a few weeks later having used the car once.

It was from the man himself. Rob strikes me as a proper racer, if there's any chance of fixing the car, it'll happen.

Can't help but wonder if they got Tony Gilham in as a guest to help fund the damage repairs with his ability to pull sponsors/hospitality deals together but it somehow hasn't come together. They've had some amount of damage to fix on that car this year already, been a tough season for them.

Turkington fastest in FP1, Plato second.

Be interesting to see if qually reflects the FP times. Certainly wasn't the case last time for Team Dynamics.

2 cracked ribs + standard seat belt and HANS device compression + shunt load = fk that

Not surprised at all he was unable to continue racing.
