5 days until another epic season kicks off.

Who's in, who's out, who's quick, who's not, when, where and how to find coverage

Can the mighty Mercs outrun Ford and Holden, will Nissan throw a surprise or will Volvo head the field?

Add your knowledge and thoughts here

It's a shame they couldn't get the Mercs to work, they certainly had potential.
Agreed, I only found out through the post above

As for TV coverage I don't know who's showing it in the UK but if you can manage to stream/steal/buy coverage from here you'll find there's over 30 hours of it from Thursday through to Sunday via Sky

Local TV coverage has had a big shake up, even though it was only day 1 practice we had 9 hours broadcast live, every support race was featured (cracking line up) with in-car cameras for each series and we had a full commentary team featuring Mark Skaife, Neil Crompton, Russel Ingall, Greg Murphy and the Lovely Riana Crehan.

If you get coverage then make sure you watch the Stadium Trucks race, bonkers stuff........

Race 3, 37 degrees followed by biblical rain

Another great day, fantastic racing in all categories combined with brilliant production

For those without £21 down the back of the sofa here's brief highlights (contains some results)

No coverage here this weekend, Bernie won't allow it in case viewers discover that V8 Supercars are so much more exciting than F1.

Highlights are normally up on Youtube 24 hours or so after the race

This is a non championship round so no official points allocated.

I want to watch V8 I`m not forking out another £21.
Do it Wh00sher, it's a brilliant deal, works out about 50p per race, plus you get all practice sessions, qualifying and top ten shootouts, I'd pay it just to watch the Bathurst round

Ominous, those triple eight cars look like they'll be the ones to beat this year.
You're not wrong, they're in a class of their own right now, Shane Van Gisbergen not mucking around in stamping his authority either, 3 wins and a 2nd over the weekend

11 days until the next meeting, Tasmania, tiny 1.5 mile track with two decent straights and a tricky section in between, usually produces great racing

My view for SVG is the aggression is to force the overtake rather than use skill like the other guys do...
If you'd said that about Dave Reynolds or Jamie 'bump-pass' Whincup I'd agree with you, but IMO (unless something has changed this year as I haven't watched it recently) SVG has and uses more skill than most of the field.
Hi Ben and Tommo, I'm not a Vangisbergen fan either, mainly because of the way he dumped Betty Klimenko's hardworking upstart Mercreces team on the premise of being bored of the whole V8 series then quickly joined another V8 Supercar team going against his contractual obligations, not just naughty but nasty naughty
