Longest Day - Endurance Run
Discussion
Would anyone be interested in participating in a scheme that I've come up with? It's essentially a circular drive on the longest day (well actually Sunday 22nd June, but close enough).
Participants would start at sunrise from one of four points and complete a circuit, stopping at the other points to collect photographic proof they'd been there. The aim would be to get back to the start by sunset, so you'd be looking at approximately 850 miles in sixteen and a half hours depending on the route chosen. That's going to require two or more drivers per car, and a bit of planning.
It'd be just for fun, with no competition or speed element. The interest comes from lots of people doing the same drive and sharing the experience, despite starting from different places.
So, is it just me that would enjoy this kind of nonsense?

A friend and I did the West Wales coast to Lowestoft on the shortest night a couple of years ago. Despite not using any Motorway, 370 miles seemed almost too easy. This one would be a bit different, and the need to share the driving might make it more fun.
The route would be up to the participants. The four fixed points are in the North West, East Anglia, on the South Coast and not far from Bristol. Google Maps reckons it's possible with an hour to spare, so there's scope to make the route more interesting and still get round.
Organisation will be minimal - my involvement will be limited to supplying the fixed points and emphasising that it's not a competition.
