Ypres - Strasbourg

Doing this journey next week with two main options

Through France

E17 to Reims then E25

Or

Through Belgium and Luxembourg

E42, E411, A31


I have driven the E17 before but never driven in Belgium at all , any advice ?

We left on the 9th so didnt see your post

I chose the Belgium route , well Belgium, Luxembourg, France, still used toll roads in France but only for a short way

Yes you are right the roads were pretty awful in places but there was a lot of roadworks going on. We made good time and covered the 330miles in 5 hours with a short stop. One thing I hadnt taken into account was the speed limit in Belgium being 120kmh rather than 130kmh
