Hatfield to Swansea no M25

Hi all,

Heading to Swansea from Hatield on Friday at around 1600 (can't avoid the time) to see my ladyfriend. I'm trying to plan a route that misses out a chunk of the M25 that will no doubt ruin my day. I'm thinking to head up to Aylesbury then back onto the M4 at Swindon, good plan?

Traffic on the M25 will mean heaters up to max in the Golf, overheats otherwise, don't think GF will appreciate a sweaty thing turning up.

I think I might try and get on the road as soon as I can after my lecture and raz down the M25, I'll still look out for your Twingo though!
