Best Route from Aosta to Beaune

Can anyone suggest the best route from Aosta to Beaune? It is the penultimate leg of our Euro Trip for September this year. Don't know whether to go via the Great St Bernard Pass/Martigny/Montreux/Lausanne or the Petit St Bernard Pass/Albertville/Annecy. I've sorted all the other routes:-

Calais - Bad Neuenahr (for 6 hours of Nurburgring)
Nurburgring - Freinsheim
Freinsheim - Mulhouse - Flims
Flims - San Bernadino Pass - Orta San Guilo
Orta San Guilo - Bergamo (from where we will get the train to Monza for the GP)
Bergamo - Aosta
Aosta - Beaune
Beaune - Calais

Any suggestions?
