Col du Lauteret
Discussion
Just a heads up for anyone planning a trip through the French Alps. The D1091 over the Col du Lauteret between Bourg d'Oisans and Briancon is closed just after the dam (before LaGrave).
Expected to re-open 10th July (locals seem to think that might be optomistic). Until then it's a BIG detour.

I got lucky!
I was trying to plan a June trip with TYRE but it kept re-routing around LaGrave and I couldn't understand why, as that usually open all year. Then and spotted a post on a ski forum about this.
We're going to be forced to do Telegraph/Galibier/Lauteret as an alternative (what a shame). Probably not an alternative for you as the Galibier is probably still closed for snow.
