Been looking at these myself. How is the.clutch holding up with the map and all that torque? Whats real world mpg post map also? Nice car Op, any still photos?
It seems to be doing fine and im far from gentle with it, it's been this power for around 30kYeah I will get some still pictures up later on tonight.
Mpg wise I average 32mpg round town and the other day I drove 110 miles 3 up with all our camping gear at 80mph and average just over 50mpg

I bet it has potential to be very good but looking at the pictures it's never given the chance  petrolveins said:
Looks very nice OP, guessing it left lots of single lines of rubber down though?
I've a 330i myself, looking at getting BBS LM Reps like yours, are yours 18s or 19s and how wide with what profile tyres? Also how much roughly is the car lowered from standard?
Sorry for all the questions.
Edited for spellig
Yeah, i used over 3mm of tread off the rear in about 40 mins :/ worth it though, even if there expensive!I've a 330i myself, looking at getting BBS LM Reps like yours, are yours 18s or 19s and how wide with what profile tyres? Also how much roughly is the car lowered from standard?

And there 18's, 9" at the rear and 8" at the front, with 225's all the way round. I think its about 50-60mm lower than standard

On a diesel? Do you not get a huge cloud of black smoke every time you accelerate? I've seen salesmen spec 320ds presumably fully catted and DPF filters and all and they do this so surely with the cat and all missing it's worse? Not a criticism just a question!
Cool car though, looks good lowered!
I get a little bit of smoke, nothing bad at all though, will get some vids up the weekend of the exhaust sound and how much smoke there is, its a tiny amount! Cool car though, looks good lowered!

Very nice modifications, I do like that a lot.
Thanks r1tey said:
would love to hear this as i also have a 330d, it looks great on 18's as there are very few sets of whhels bar MV2's and ACS type 3's imo which look good as 18"
I will be getting the video tonight hopefully, such a unique sound, sounds a bit like a jet!. Yeah i think it only gets away with having 18"s though as the ride hight is fairly lowPowerrr said:
Is that a CSL spoiler too or a rep of some sort?
Its a replica one, the previous owner fitted it, was going to get it removed but its grown on me now!93Jay said:
That looks really nice, there seems to be a lot of subtle mods aswell, the black kidney grill and the red rear tinted lights look good.
Eta - does it also have a matte black roof, I'm on my phone so can't see it well if I'm wrong.
Thanks for the kind words, I think subtle mods are a lot better than massive in your face mods, makes it your own without making it looks stupid / cheap! Yeah the all red rears look really good, something different from the norm which is what I like, although they have had some mixed opinions!Eta - does it also have a matte black roof, I'm on my phone so can't see it well if I'm wrong.
And it has a carbon wrapped roof, looks really good

Nice motor, alloys really suit it!
What is the difference between the E39 530D engine and the E46 330D engine?
Why is the 5 series 193bhp whereas the E46 is in the 200s? It's more than mapping aswell as the E39 only maps to 240bhp tops
Thanks, the wheels suit pretty much any car! What is the difference between the E39 530D engine and the E46 330D engine?

And its different turbo and injectors i think, along with ecu differences, the e39 is the smalled turbo, think the smaller turbo units are only 5 speed as well

Fair enough, on the public roads I cant imagine it would make too much of a difference, I was just curious.
If you did want one, would an E46 M3 LSD fit on it, or would you have to go down the full aftermarket route?
Yeah im happy with how it is atm, as for fitting an lsd I dont think its as simple as fitting an m3 one (have read that up but cant remember why) and a quaife diff is 1k+If you did want one, would an E46 M3 LSD fit on it, or would you have to go down the full aftermarket route?
