It does tend to attract a little attention.

Weight is estimated at 1100kgs, yes its rather rapid smile

Hoping to get some sprint, track, drag time in it this year.
Its fun in the road but not really able to use any throttle lol

Sort of.

Have a vid of it on the dyno and have a vid of just sound when I took it down a runway, wasnt allowed to video as it was an raf base so just the roof lol

Dyno run at 721bhp 680lb if I recall correct.
Upped the boost slightly since hence estimate 800bhp

this was recorded at MLr 30-130 at RAF Marham, hence only the roof and sound..

trickling along in 2nd gear and then floored, up through the box to 170mph..
it was wet hence a lot of wheel spin

Stunning. Absolutely lovely and must be insane to drive.

Seats don't look overly comfortable!

they are actually surprizingly comfy.. everything on the car was done with weight in mind.. or lack of, only glass is the front screen, doors are fibreglass, cage is chromolly, bonnet is ally, boot has had the inner skin removed, no heater, dash is only a fibreglass shell, fuel tank is ally and only 22litres..

very nice.

looks like you have spent a fair bit in it, carbon door inners, wide tracks, engine etc..

What do you use it for? Track use
Well my track car/road car (another impreza) was getting a little tried and this 2door shell came along, so it was built to replace the other car and took a year.. it just went a little more extreme with complete custom looms and no road friendliness at all.. only done the one event with it so far, got a sprint booked next month, hope to do TOTB and possibly some other sprints this year and maybe a track day.. its going to have to be a jack of all trades really..

starting to consider aero next for sprint and track work, spoiler, splitter, flat floor etc.

6 cylinder? What engine is in it?
its a subaru svx 3.3litre eg33 engine.. subaru built them for a while in the 90s

standard it is normally aspirated..

So my engine has had forged pistons, rods, and race bearings added, along with some pinning to the block to stop the cylinders moving, 14mm head studs, the heads have been ported and polished alot..
had some billet cams made and machine work to the heads to allow them to fit, new valves, spins, buckets etc.. wasnt a cheap engine smile

The best setup on the 4 pot gives you nearing the same power I have now but nowhere near the same torque and also takes a fair bit of work with front mounting the turbo on a 2.35litre version of the four pot.
However thats at high boost and more stress on the four pot.
I am currently only running 1.6bar, when I get chance to get used to the current level, I will up the boost further.
Engine should take 2.4bar easy.
So yes spool, power and torque the main reasons really

Any idear what it would run at 2.4 bar ?

950-1000 ?

yikes
Well the turbos as a single unit normally do 420bhp on vpower.
I have had 500 from on on vpower with 20% meth mix. That was 1.8bar.
I dont think it is necessarily correct that it would make double at the same boost and fuel.

But racefuel would help lol.
The engine seem very efficent and the gain I have seen at 1.5bar from vpower to racefuel and meth mix wasnt massive so the next engine will be higher compression as it is nearly reaching mbt on vpower.

Mind you the next engine build will include a stroked billet crank to bring it upto 3.6litre
Its always good to have plans lol

Whilst I am in the same boat as everyone else, in that I think this is nuts smile, I have to ask how much understeer does it suffer from?
With the engine being so far ahead of the front axle line, it's going to be very nose heavy. Have you done anything to offset this?
the only in anger driving I have done was on the run way with it so far.

On the road is doesnt understeer at all and feels like any other impreza.. obviously the cage helps keep the shell ridged. Will see for sure at the sprint I am doing end of May.
I dont think it is going to be difficult to dial any understeer out with geometry settings anyway.

Absolutely bonkers, I love it. Especially love the fact it has a 6 pot engine too. You sir, are a legend! More videos ASAP please.

Could you also provide some detail about what you've done to the gearbox/drive chain/brakes?
gearbox is a 6spd wr1 box with dccd and the longer gearing from a forester but basically an oe 6speed box, rear diff has a Kazz in and the rear shafts are uprated.

brakes are currently 8pot Ksport fronts and 4pot ksport rears but I have a set of AP6 pots also.
