Hello.

I have been a long time reader of PistonHeads since passing my driving test back in 2008. I thought the time was right to finally register and show off my new car!

After finishing college last June, I was looking everywhere for somewhere to start my career. After starting my first decently-paid full time job back in Feb, I decided it was then time to order the car that I've wanted for a long time; the Fiat 500.

Now, I am fully aware of the image these cars tend to portray. I would like to take this opportunity to declare that I am neither a hairdresser or a female.

So at the beginning of April I went to a very well known car showroom and I felt like a child in a toy shop. Don't know if anyone can relate, but I was amused at how something like cars appear to just be items in a shop just like going to the local Morrisons for a tin of beans. (Just me then aye?).

Anyways I decided on the TwinAir Plus.

The Plus has a variety of upgrades from the standard TA; Tinted windows, leather steering wheel, bluetooth to name a few.

Took delivery yesterday (Mon 30th April) and thus far have only done 50miles. As most of you are probably aware the mpg is not as good as fiats claimed. I have averaged 34mpg so far. I should note the mpg is not the reason for choosing the car and I was aware of this before purchase.

All in, very pleased so far. Not too bad for a 21year old I think, I haven't stopped smiling since 1630 when I received the car.

Thanks for the comments people!

Well, I for one think the 500 is stunning. The only other car that comes close in the super mini cat would be the DS3 in my opinion. (this may be due to my age)..

And as mentioned above, the look and image of the 500 was the deciding factor.

The wheels are included in the "twinair PLUS" trim. Other options included are Blue and Me bluetooth and media connectivity, the leather steering wheel and gear knob as mentioned above and chrome tail pipe and bumper details. The chess roof is £150 off quid extra.
