Hi, Thought the forum may like to see our Noble that is a cheeky copy of a Ferrari 330 P4. We've had it years but house renovations and the like had sidelined it until this March when we changed all the fluids and got rid of the cobwebs. Iv'e driven and ridden all sorts but the view from the drivers seat and the noise takes some beating! Looking to put plenty of miles on this summer. Chris.

Hi,
Built from 1989 Lee Noble kit using later version of the Ultima chassis. Originally built with tuned 2.7 V6 Renault engine now has V8 Rover, 4 barrel Holly, TVR manifolds with home brew exhausts. UN1 g/box, unequal wishbones with cast uprights.
Goes and handles well, sounds unholy and is loads of fun. Love to have put a Ferrari motor in but you have to draw the financial line somewhere!
Having problems downloading pics as getting the message "no image to upload" despite having selected image, Any ideas anyone?

Rover engine was used due to weight/size, my previous knowledge of these units and the fact we had 2 on the shelf!
Still working on the photo resize issue (my 11yr old will sort that).

Thanks for the positive comments and e-mails so far. Still trying to find build pics but I have managed to upload these taken earlier this year. Colours seem a bit off but you get the idea. Chris.

Hi, no this isn't the silverstone auction car (now for sale at total head turners). That car MUF814 has a cossie engine, our car MUF766 is a V8. We obviously have the same sense of humour though, as a lot of you have appreciated. Thanks again for the positive comments.

We bought the car in 2005 as a non runner with a V6 Renault engine, got it sorted and ran it for a couple of years then converted it to V8. I can't claim to have built it but other than the bodywork/paint everything else has either been replaced, upgraded or rebuilt. Bit of an ongoing project....bodywork has aged nice (paint is now 22yrs old) so looks less like a kit car than most so I have no intention of repainting it. I think its called patina!

Hi Paul, didn't think you would miss this thread, long time no speak. Thanks for posting the old (Renault) pics, god I hated that engine! If you still have your gearbox leak issue let me know as I have the cure that will not require box removal. Thanks for all the advice.

2slo thanks for your comments, normally I am not a fan of replicas but as you say it's difficult not to like this one especially as it is built from scratch as oppose to using an existing vehicle platform. As previously mentioned I would have liked to go with a Ferrari motor but you have to draw a line somewhere....I have been involved with Rv8 engines for some time so it was an easy decision to make. As far as the noise goes.... The MOT guy was happy and after the looks of the car, it's the exhaust note that gets the comments. It's a bit sad but I'm into the science of exhaust design and whilst the system on this car is quite short it was created with sonic and thermal pulse in mind with the inclusion of torque cones to maintain exhaust gas velocity. Perhaps a YouTube video is needed!
