Hi all.

So, I got the itch again, and the only car I could think of filling it with, was another MK1 Focus RS.

My friend has been looking into buying an E92 M3, so the chance came up to grab this car.

Its an 03 plate with 40k on the clock. The spec of the car is quite awesome, I'll list a few of the items below.

Engine:
Ford Racing Tubular Manifold
GT2876R Turbo
Aeroquip Turbo oil return
Miltek gt28 decat with mongoose cat back exhaust
AP 4 Paddle Clutch Kit
Vibra Tech engine mounts
Pace Chargecooler Radiator (recent new ford pump)
Denso ITV24 spark plugs
K&N Gen 2 induction Kit
Bluefin
19 Row oil cooler

Brakes:
AP 6 pot conversion, with 355mm discs

Externally:
Colour coded items
US spec rear lights
ST170 Xenon headlights

The car currently runs 355bhp, and 380ftlb on high boost setting.

Pics below:

Plans are to get the wheels refurbished in Silver, to give the car an OEM look from the outside.
I am also looking into getting a custom map for the car, alongside some injectors. I have been speaking to a company called Sabre, who are well known for custom maps for the MK1 Focus RS. I should be seeing approx 400bhp on high boost, but more importantly the map will be alot more driveable unlike the Bluefin map currently on the car.

I'll keep this thread updated as progress happens.

I've not used high boost. The weather is too bad to try it. I'm only using a low boost setting on the boost controller, circa 300bhp, and its not too bad.

I'm either going to refurb the wheels I have, or try pick up a set already in silver smile

Nice car mate, its almost exactly the same spec as mine! Im also considering a live map at sabre as mine is running the same modified bluefin setup as yours and there is definatley more to come from it. Heard good things about sabre but there quite a bit more expensive than others especially with their big maf conversion. Trying to decide if to go their or somewhere like jamsport or motorsport developments as its almost half as much, what are your thoughts?
Wish i had ap's like yours as my standard brakes are poo even with uprated pads
Cheers fella.

Its about £1100 for the live map, larger Maf, and the injectors.
I've read and been told bad stories about Jamsport, and Motorsport Developments are too far away to travel.

I spoke to leighton the other day at Sabre, and explained everything, with the boost controller I am running, they are able to set the boost up per gear and revs which should make it alot more driveable.
As much as the brakes are immense, I'd say a decent set of pads on the standard Brembo set up should be enough. I'm even tempted to go back to the standard calipers.

I'm near heathrow, so sabre are 100 miles each way.

I had ebc yellow stuff, and found it awful, exactly as you describe, performance friction I think they're called get good reviews on the RSoc.
