Evening folks. Been a long time lurker on here and I'm about to begin my first project, getting the M3 below ready for the track. The car has had some attention paid to the bodywork which the previous owner must take credit for and I'm about to refresh the suspension and strengthen the bottom end. Will update as the work progresses.

Hope you like the base for my project.

Regards JBad.

Fair point. Will be doing occasional track day in this. Car won't be stripped just enhanced to improve performance.

Nothing too extreme. Coilovers - arp bolts and shells - sump baffled - porsche brembo brakes and the company doing the work are goiing to look at improving cooling to brakes. Thats the aim for now.

This is a second car and will be used for fun so if the ride is compromised with coilovers which i will get set up with road and track use in mind then it wont matter that much to me. I ran a clio cup on HR coilovers for 2 years and it was fine on road with a sensible ride height. We haven't ironed out the plans for the brake cooling yet but I will ensure the look is kept pretty much standard.

Daniels San my sentiments exactly. The car will still be loved and driven as it was intended but with sympathy and aided with a few sensible enhancements.

Good move. Might not be until next spring anyway as we'll do a track day rather than tourist day. They are dearer but worth it. ivegot quite a bit to shell out on m3 so no rush

I'll let you know on here if I'm there in m3. The 328 is a Boston green with e46 m3 alloys so look out for us if you come along.

A few bits have now arrived so that work can commence. Just need to establish which shells are required.

Yours is looking good bully b. I'm not stripping or caging mine but over time will do lots to it. After the bushes, suspension and arp are sorted it'll be brakes.

Will then start to look at possibly extracting more power from engine.

If you're at donny or oulton give me a shout.

Regards jbad

Your opinions required please. I've got the option to get many of the dirty and rusty parts sandblasted and powder coated. Is this overkill or worthwhile? Cheers Jbad.

Not sure yet. The guys doing the work JWA racing are designing and fitting it. They've seen the turnermotorsport design to get them started. I'll post up some pictures as the work progresses.
