Colour wise, the favorite at the moment if Ford Grabber blue or the new Volvo Blue.

It definitely wont be Lotus colours, as i dont do look a likes.

Twig, its not a lotus shell.

It was a 1500GT, one of the first and on an E plate.

Its Auto cos it will be a nicer drive,it wont break axles and i get the hump sitting in traffic jams everywhere.

Many top performance cars now have auto boxes you know!

Hi Liner 33.

One of the reasons i am sticking with an Automatic is that you dont tend to break axles and stuff.

Its usually all the shock loads on the poor diff and half shafts that break them

We shall see !!

V8FOU, I am not phased about the lowering blocks on the axle,

Its having a bench seat, auto gearbox, column change, electric sunroof etc. so no way am i expecting it to out handle anything round the bends.

Just building it for the challenge to see if i can get it done and look standard from the outside.

( Would be rude not to run it up the strip though )

Love your Bentley

Heat reflective film going on

Copper pipes run the coolant through the cills to the rear mounted rad.

An alli expansion tank is being made to fit to the left of the petrol tank

Also still got to run transmission cooler pipes from the rad, forward to the gearbox.

All the stuff in the boot is now wrapped up.

Rad, fans, servo, battery, header tank, expansion tank, relays for fuel pump and fans, all the wiring and hoses, incl the transmission cooler in the radiator.

And all boxed up

Still got a reasonable sized boot

Thanks lads, not far off installing the engine now !!

Wobert, good work on the plenum etc. this engine was one of the first as it was a development engine but had damaged valves when i got it as the belts had been removed and then the crank rotated ( lots of bent valves.)

Kev i,m home from 5.15 most days,
Sorted the odd running out, it was the 4 injector plugs on one bank not making contact,
Had to take the inlet (thanks again Wobert) off to get to them though.

Solder in the yorkshire fittings melts at 230 deg. so not worried about that leaking.

Should i fill the cooling system with anti freeze or central heating inhibitor ?
