There are more tidbits but are supporting modifications.

The H1 is just a vehicle at work (government owned) that always nearby so I snapped a pic.

Here is another video of when I only had a pulley and intake. You can really hear the blower whine because I didn't have an aftermarket exhaust. 5potTurbo, what was your question again? I'll be happy to answer it.

Liking that car a lot! How do you find the brakes? The std CTS-V seemed to have very temperature dependant brake preformance (decel vs pedal pressure) Often, coming up the first roundabout or junction i'd be deperately trying to push the brake pedal though the bulkhead to stop, then as they warm up, they would smash your face into the screen with just a light brush on the pedal! (one of the issues with getting a heavy/powerful car around the 'ring is that your brake system tends to end up with hard pads....)
The breaks have served me very well. I am still on the stock pads and they hold their own. Pretty consistent through the temperature range. Id say the pedal feel is a little softer than I'd like at the track but it stops on a dime. By std CTS-V do you mean the 1st generation ('04-'07)? I never drove a first gen but the word is that these brakes are much better than the previous. I haven't checked for myself.After_Shock said:
The noise without cats will be insane, especially inside the cabin, might find you end up re-fitting them to get rid of the drone inside!!
After_Shock,Currently there isn't much drone in the cabin, most of noise is outside. You would be surprised how quiet is inside in comparison. I assume it will get louder but most owners say there is no drone and you cannot tell the difference (inside). At this power level, I'm running the risk of having the cats fail and ruin an engine . I really don't know how they did it but the mufflers I bought were designed to elimitante all drone and they work. Corsa mufflers to be accurate.
So I got HP tuners and decided to work on a remote map with my tuner from the states. Threw it on Surrey Rolling Road today and it spit out the reading. We let off midway through the run because the map was a little off. As you can see the chart, the pull stops at 5600rpms. My red line is set at 6500 so I should be able to see a tad more. Corrections were made after we left the facility.
IATs on that dyno were much higher than on the street as expected. This kind of hindered getting bigger power figures. I am still on the stock engine, internals, and stock supercharger. I also have a WHP readout of 630.

It's my understanding you don't want too much valve overlap on a boosted engine as the cylinder charge ends out being blown out of the exhaust valves.
DING DING DING! You're right on to it. I could run more lift but I;m happy where its at. Trying to get some good runs in tomorrow at the pod. Today was all rain Yea I'm pullies down so I'm spinning is faster than factory. 16 psi through my custom exhaust. It can still be spun harder but with meth as IATs would climb. On the street, my IAT2s hover in the 70* Fahrenheit and shoot up to 117ish at the end of a WOT run. Yup, a 2.3 will work less to put out the same power and keep the temperatures lower. I know not to look into the dynos too much, they vary a bit. I did run an 11.5@126 yesterday on my first run at Santa pod. Pretty bad 60ft as I bogged. I wasn't able to make any corrections due to rain. Ill be stopping by on the 13th to get some decent runs and a more aggressive map.
200*? Damn dude. I do have a massive heat exchanger which helps a lot! I haven't ran the mile but haven't heard of anyone getting THAT hot. If my car ever got that hot I'd be running 3* timing. It's a given though, the smaller blower will create more heat just gotta fight back. That being said, I'd like to get out and run the mile. We're gonna go back in a couple weeks to Santa pod on a RWYB. Hopefully is dry this time
No I'm not running meth just straight 98 pump fuel. I've given it thought but wanna keep it simple. I guess that would be the next thing along with heads. We plan on giving it another go on the 13th. I think I saw a thread with the Monaro crew planning a trip then. Ill prob see some of you there.
