Fun cars, i still regret selling mine

Wheels are made of cheese though and are damaged easily. How are the ones on yours?
Yeah i've heard they can quickly turn to resembling a 20 pence coin if a few potholes aren't avoided! So keeping an extra beady eye out for that.

Mine have been re-furbed by previous owner, in great condition, no sign of damage.

Really liked these remember when I looked into them they was no way of remapping the engine which was a shame frown
This has just recently changed early this year i believe, took them long enough, seems Brabus/Merc had the ECU locked down tight.
That said, they do shift nicely as standard

Blimey bet that shifts, do these have the same woeful gearbox as the ForTwo/Roadster Coupe?
That Dyno is after a remap, that will really shift! I'm happy with how fast it is standard though...for now.

They don't share that gearbox no, much of the car is shared with Mitsubishi Colt, so has the 5 speed manual box from that (as far as i know)

Thanks! Shame about your insurance, though i found it quite easy to insure fairly low?

Does look good in black - the plastic panels gleam!!!!

My daily commute is 22mpg in my BRABUS forfour

BMW M3 driver followed me to shops and was asking me all about mine today (firstly asking what it was - always makes me smile) as he followed me on a little bit of a blast today wink

JJ
That was in rush hour traffic, so was pretty much forced to drive like saint, my long term average is stuck on 36.6mpg which i'm happy with.

I do have a lot of people asking about it and what it is etc. had a play with a 2004 boxster s and there was nothing in it.

Had to get a new tyre due to puncture £100~ (Falken 452)
Rear wheel bearing was making a headache inducing noise: £201 (ouch)
On the plus side mpg capable continues to surprise.

Had Bilstein B14 coilovers fitted, as the standard suspension was ridiculously hard and unforgiving.

Exhaust mods begin!

I knew the exhaust manifold was probably cracked, the blowing noise was getting worse, luckily all my new parts finally arrived and i was able to get it booked in. Was shocked at the state of the old manifold!

New Manifold / Turbo outlet pipe / de-cat pipe (also had custom de-cat back exhaust fitted but no pics yet)

Next up, Re-map

Got my Brab mapped by Tony at tune 4 performance today. It feels much much faster than before, really pulls hard from 3k rpm. Here is the before and after.

Before 194 bhp 216.4 ft-lb

After 205 bhp 247.6 ft-lb

Great little cars, i've got a low mileage one, although it is standard.

Get the Powertec filter fitted, for sound alone it's great.

However i've aquired another car so will have to pop mine up for sale soon.
Insurance is also filthy cheap for some odd reason considering the performance.

BTW, silver is the faster colour.

Edited by theguvernor on Friday 25th April 14:23
The pipercross filter i've got makes the same noise, it is good!

Blasphemy! Black is fastest, everyone knows this.

Shame you can't keep it, i agree low mileage well looked after examples should only rise in value in future.

Had mine a year now and still look forward to driving it everyday.
