I thought I would add a little topic on my little car.

It's a Fiat Coupe 20VT Limited Edition number 199. They have 5 cylinder engines. Made even rarer by the factory colour. It is crono grey and by all accounts there are no more than 5 left in the UK, maybe less.

She's got just over 41,000 miles on the clock (genuine) and full service history to boot. I have recently had a large amount of 'other' work carried out to her, including but not exclusive to…

She handles wonderfully (a lot down to the Sport Contact 2's also) and I must say, it is one of the best cars I have ever driven in terms of driver comfort and turn of speed. She's running around 280bhp and 1.3 bar boost on the high setting - 0.9 on the low. I have a simple trigger switch mounted to switch from high to low that can be seen in the photo's near the gear lever.

Performance? Well, 0-60 in around the late 5's, early 6's, mid range is fantastic, you'll be surprised at what you can glide past with ease on the motorway (I mean ummm race track) smile There is also something to be said about the exhaust note, it really is a pleasant noise upon opening the throttle.

As I work abroad, the miles will not be going up. Probably one of the reasons I am posting this - not getting to talk about my car enough! All that is really needed now is a full respray, which I will get done soon. These cars tend to suffer from lacquer peel (it's an age thing!) and this one does too. So it's immanent!

This is the 7th or 8th Fiat Coupe I have owned, I like the cars that much. I own two at he moment, the other is a ink black 20V non turbo. What I have tended to do, is learn from each one I have 'done up' and this one really is getting the best treatment! From a Fiat Coupe Specialist (FCSS).

There are many horror 'stories' about coupes. But, as stated above, I have owned many and looked after them properly. They have been as reliable as hell for me. Never once had a breakdown, nor called out the AA/RAC for recovery. Buy wisely is the key as is knowing what to look for when viewing!

If you are thinking about buying one of these in the future, there are many cheap one's to be had. But, most of them will have been bought cheap, maintained cheap and yes, you guessed it, this reflected in the price tag!! Buyer beware! As with any car, look after it and it will look after you.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics and all the best to you and your special car.
