New car time.. Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera in Arancio Borealis. Absolutely loving the drive and the V10 noise, such a different animal to the F430 (which is now sold).

I could look it up, but I'll ask. Are those flappy paddle or manual with an open gate. I like the Gallardo a lot. From memory these are RWD only aren't they?
'Flappy paddle' or Egear as Lamborghini call it, although there was a manual option if buying new, 99% were the Egear.

No all LP570-4 are AWD, hence the '4' in the model designation. The RWD Gallardo are know as LP550-2 or 'Balboni' pre LP.

Was the Ferrari 'flappy paddles' too?

Is the white TT a Quattro? I am asking to see if you've found much difference in going RWD Ferrari to 4WD Gallardo?

I assume the interior is black with orange stitching? Alcantara and leather mix?
The Ferrari is an open gate manual which was delightful.

The TT isn't the Quattro, its the FWD 1.8 Turbo model.

The biggest difference between the RWD F430 and 4WD 'G' is the grip and turn in. The F430 would kick the rear end out very easily under power without TC and was very easy to drive slowly, 'turn in' was sublime and made the car feel very lively. To unstick the Lambo you really need a bootful of right foot but at low speeds the front end tends to push on a little and it doesn't feel as nimble at lower speeds as the F430. At higher speeds it feels light and dart though and very sure footed :-)

Interior is all alcantara, being lighter than leather its saves a few pounds, the seats being fixed back carbon fibre buckets. The dash is all alcantara also :-) The only leather is the perforated steering wheel which will last, unlike alcantara which wears quickly on steering wheels.

Stunning, very nearly pulled the trigger on the yellow one that was/is at Leicester Lambo but went for the Aston instead in the end, still have a Lambo itch to scratch one day.
Thanks :-)

Do it! You won't regret it. Very different car to an Aston, which did you go for?

wow. I know your development - I'm in the Miller development in nearby Newton. We almost bought in the Baillieston development instead. Stunning car - don't think I'll have a problem spotting you lol. Is there an R8 in your estate? My dad said he saw a couple parked up down there recently.
Yep there's a silver R8 up the road, only seen it a few times.

Having done the Ferrari thing I was seduced by the Astons classic looks and amazing noise, will return for a Lambo one day!

That's a stunning looking Aston. Never seen that colour before but it really suits the car.
