2004 Dodge Durango

I used to have American cars 25+ years ago as a single young man before going to more mundane Euro stuff.
Spring 2005 my wife was fed up with her Merc 190E languishing in the garage needing work so I bought her a '96 BMW 328i convertible, which she loved.
Unfortunately for her I sold in September that year without telling her and bought this:
2003 Mustang GT Coupe with a few mods including stiffened suspension and a cat back exhaust system. This then became her commuter car and something for me to have fun with at weekends.
She still missed her convertible so in Summer 2008 I ordered this, brand new and to the spec I wanted:
2009 Mustang GT/CS convertible. Which I also had the suspension altered on.
That meant we had two of them, plus the Merc still languishing in the garage and my company car so something had to go. So off went the yellow coupe.
A change of job for me six months later meant the company car went back and I needing something for myself to use, alongside the Mustang, as mine/my wifes commuter cars.
That's where this came in:
2002 P72 spec Crown Victoria with LPG.
Was a great barge and was like driving your sofa to work.
Eighteen months down the line I was bored and was offered a truck that we'd bought for work but was a bit too rough round the edges to retail.
So I thought, why not.
Why Not? Because the thing was a little too big as a daily driver.
On a good day, with the wind behind you, it might do double digit MPG if you're lucky. I sold it.
Needing a car quickly I bought back the yellow Mustang I'd sold two years previously. So we were back to two Mustangs, this time though they were both being used as daily drivers. Although neither were particularly practical.
A new business venture at work saw us getting involved in hybrids so, yet again, the yellow Mustang was sold.
This time it was replaced with a second generation Prius which is doing a great job of 57MPG year in, year out.
What's this got to do with the vehicle in the thread title?
My wife misses using the truck, although not the fuel bills.
I'm getting fed up of using the Mustang as a daily driver. Constantly avoiding the potholes that masquerade as roads is tedious.
So it's time to get another daily driver and relegate the Mustang to occasional/fun use.
And this is it:
2004 Dodge Durango SLT. AWD with 4WD and the obligatory 5.7 hemi.
Should make my commute a bit more comfortable.
It won't be quite as economical as the Mustang, but will certainly be better than the truck.
And with the Prius being the other daily driver the fuel bills won't be as bad as they were running two US cars every day.
It's off for its first jaunt to Belgium and France in a few weeks time. It'll hold a lot more wine than the Prius.

t MPG if the other daily driver is doing mid 50's.
