I always had an mx5 but sold it last year after 6 years. Ive been using my husbands mx5 for work but now Ive found the coupe I want (pick up tomorrow) the mx5 is going off the road for time being.
Im looking forward to modding the coupe a bit. Its silver and 05 plate, twin exhaust, black leather no scuff marks on bolster. The tyres are all different so will replace those with all same and get the wheels refurbished too. Also want a stainless steel exhaust to replace the old one but will paint it with aluminium paint to tide over winter till we can afford one. will be putting my reg plate I had on the mx5 on it. Got metal plates too which are far smarter and legal.

Are there any owners out there who can tell me where to get modification parts for the interior? Ive tried the hyundai forum but nobody is replying.

Do hyundais have strut bars?
What suspension do they have - they are crashy like the mx5. What is a good replacement?

Thanks

Hi thanks for the replies, yes not much online, but my husband has a compressor and plans to inject bilt hamber in the sills etc and underside to protect from rusting. Also using rust convertor on little dots of rust the touch up. Ive given it a damn good clean yesterday will put pics up later today

Thanks for your replies. some pics above. I love it. I spent all day yesterday washing and waxing it, wheels will be refurbished and its got one brand new yokohama tyre, all the others are new but different. Will order 3 new yokohamas to match the other. Taking me a while to get used to the clutch but it corners like an mx5 and is low seated so Im happy and comfy. Never had a car with cruise control ever, so that will be something new to try.

I think the 2.0SE is the pick of the bunch imo. V6 really isn't worth it.

Watch out for wear on the shoddy leather seats, on the bolsters, a weak point on the interior. Hopefully a well looked after one won't have this problem.
This is not really a problem, my mx5 leathers were not that thick, but I used autoglym conditioner and cleaner for six years, and made sure i didnt hit the bolster or wear studded jeans, so was easy to keep good.

Tried to unscrew the manual aerial off so I can put car cover on. Soaked it with penetrating oil. Its not moving so far.
