Thought I would post a few pic's of my 928.

I bought a Peugeot 205GTi last year (http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=47&t=1432363&mid=39148&i=0&nmt=My+205Gti+1%2E9&mid=39148) which was good fun but I didn't use the car much so when the opportunity arose it went and in came the 928.

Its a 1988 928 S4 Auto with just over £110K miles and loads of history. Not had a chance to drive it much so looking forward to some better weather.

Thanks for the positive comments. Just been in the garage tinkering away before a mate called over - got the thumbs up from him too!

As requested interior pic.

A bit dark as taken in the garage. For the age and mileage it's aged well enough - the leather will need some attention at some point but there's a few more important jobs to do first.

Took me a little while to get the happy mondays thing...BEZ!

The plate came with car.

Its got the exhaust mods, sounds just right to me, and the flex plate has been checked too.

Here's a better interior photo...

I'm in the same position as the OP, having Boxster wheels.

I wouldn't want to go down to the 16 inch correct wheels and would like to get some 17in Cups - but they're like hens' teeth (with correct offset).

Eta and there's always a squeakier wheel more demanding of the hard-earned.

I actually thought the wheels where original when I bought the car not having much (any) experience with Porches and especially the 928.

I've since been told via another PH thread that they are not original nor even Porsche - apparently Porsche never made 17" Cup III wheels? I like them so will stick with them...for now anyway.

Loving the red 928 - looks smart and suits that colour too.

Sun was out today and the Tamora is away for a service so took the 928 for a quick spin - wow, what a great car! It cruises along serenely one minute and then sounds all NASCAR when you plant you foot down. Quicker than I was expecting too, it sort of gathers speed quickly rather than exploding down the road if you know what I mean - good fun switching between the two.

Not really driven it much so looking forward to getting to know it better over the summer.

Bit of an update / thread resurrection - time flies!

Been busy at work so not had much time to spend even driving my cars let alone working on them but recently got stuck into the 928's brakes. The rears were shot so replaced the pads and discs and generally tidied up the wheel arches...

Few more jobs to do like paint the brake shroud, etc

Then moved onto the front which were in much better shape...

Generally quite please with how nearly 30 years and 110K miles of grime has cleaned away. The Porsche engineering is quite impressive.

MOT on Friday - fingers crossed!!!!
