Had the focus since August last year and I've started to get the itch to get the power up a bit.
The main thing I wanted to do was increase the power but try and keep it looking as standard as possible.
First thing on my list was to put on a 3 inch decat with spacer for the lambda sensor, once this was on and the popping and banging started I had to complete the exhaust set up,I went for a 3 inch downpipe with a 3 inch centre box delete with standard back box to keep it looking stock.
Next up was a group a pipercross air filter replacement.
Wasn't too happy the way it was boosting so went for a boost pressure control solenoid and an uprated re circulation valve which goes from the spring/diagraphm to piston type and a set of rs plugs.
It boosts very very strongly now and the noise from the thing is emmense.
Next up is a remapp, increase boost pressure and see were we are then.
May have to uprate the clutch to the rs type if it starts slipping, but worry about that at the time.
Tons of upgrades for these things so looks like I could be spending a fair bit more money in the next few months.
Any opinions welcome.

Had a brief discussion on here a while back and the car gets pretty good fuel economy.
Didn't buy it for mpg though.

Easy. Induction kit, intercooler, RS clutch and a stage 2 map. RS injectors and a sports car will see you just.over that.
With the above mods I have already done and a map 280 maybe?
Cooler will be after map.

Fair enough, but most modded hot hatches are 3 door and barely off the ground.
Subtle/sleeper enough for me.

Yeh,i have upgraded the brakes, grooved discs with a better pad compound.
Unsure whether to go stage 1 or stage 2 with the remap?

Stage 1 is a standard car,circa 50 hp.
Stage 2 is a car with exhaust and intake which I have, circa 64 hp.
As I said 300 bhp is the target.

Wow 480 bhp.
I know those universal ones are a fraction of the cost but they must be a nightmare to fit?

Standard IC at the bottom. Deffo worth an upgrade tongue out .

intake, 3" downpipe, intercooler and a decent remap should net you around the 300bhp mark. If your cambelt is getting on a bit then worth looking into getting the block mod done at the same time, more power = greater risk of cracking a cylinder liner.
Standard one is pitiful.
Take it that is just the radtec one with a dream science badge on it?
It's either the radtec one or airtec.

Decided to paint the lower bumper grills black, was never keen on the grey and plastic chrome look.

Kind of ditched the idea of a sleeper now, lol.
No lowering going on,probally just poly bush a few things.

Nice car op. Lots of good advice here as well.

It'll never be a sleeper but you could make it surprising. I'm hoping to do the same thing with my car.
Cheers, what have you done to yours so far?
Ideas shared are a good thing.

Yup the rs injectors seem a popular upgrade.
Will be happy with 280-300bhp.

Eibachs will do this to your car. You 'must' fit the Eibach camber bolts or you will wear the inside edge of the rear tyres in 2k miles. 300 bhp is a nice figure and any more and spiky boosts will make traction a pain.
That's a very nice St u have there.
Once the cooler is on I'm going to get it on the rollers, see were I am with it power wise.
