Just collected yesterday after ordering 12 weeks ago and drove it from Bradford back to Aberdeen, excuse the patchy quality pics:

Sadly it's locked away until next Thurs whilst I revise for my next post-grad exam, roll on getting that over with to get driving again!

Ha ha, I was thinking of calling it "King" although I'm not one for giving my cars names. I'm keeping it below 3000rpm so not unlocked it's full potential. I did do a couple of quick blasts (guilty as charged) and the pop out the exhaust had me grinning. The steering, whilst maybe not as feelsome as I'd read in the reviews is really precise and although I encountered few corners on the way back up the road, you could feel it working when pushing it.

The standard kit also has surprised me, even has lane departure warning which I wasn't aware of and a button to change the intensity of the windscreen washers! Have to say it looks much nicer inside and out in the flesh and the build quality is very good. I had to have it in Liquid Yellow wink

Is it specced with the Ohlins dampers?

If so, seriously seriously look into treating them with something like ACF50. The material they're made from tarnishes very quickly from the cars I've seen.
Yeah it is so thanks for the heads up. Ordered some ACF50 - was just going to put some sort of sealant on them otherwise as I'd seen pictures before of the outer surface deteriorating fast

I'd say it could be, Renault still fall short in some areas usually material and quality related but as the driver they're great. I'd say the previous generation Clio (200) and this generation Megane are probably the last and best manual hot hatches we'll see from Renault.

p.s though I could be biased biggrin
I'm actually hoping the next Megane is rubbish! biggrin

Some pictures after my detail then drive around Perthshire & the Cairngorms smile

I'm not an arsonist really!

Couple of bonus pictures:

I've never had a car where you can feel so confident putting the power down when you are still going round the corner, it's an epic car. Most of it's grunt must be above 3000 rpm as it's not super quick below, which is where I've tried to stay whilst running it in...certainly not saying it's slow mind you!
